Title: Refugees and immigrants in Romania
Abstract: The survey was conducted between October 9-28, 2021 on a sample of 653 people living in 195 urban and regional localities in all counties of Romania, with a statistical error of +/- 3.9%. He measured the attitude of Romanians towards refugees and immigrants, in the context of the crisis in Afghanistan and the feeling of (in) security in the event of a sudden increase in the number of foreigners coming to the country’s borders. Most Romanians believe that foreign workers and refugees would bring more cultural diversity, but at the same time research has detected anxiety about an increased risk of crime, terrorism, the spread of disease or the creation of ethnic and religious enclaves.
